Chicken Kurma

Ingredients

Chicken - 2 lbs (or) 1kg (chop into small pieces)
Onion - 1 1/2 large (chopped into thin strips)
Green peppers - 6 to 8
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 Tbsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Clove - 5
Cardamom - 4
Cinnamon - 1 piece
Bay leaf - 1 leaf
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp (or) according to taste Coconut powder - 5 Tbsps
Yogurt (curd) - 5 Tbsps
Oil - 4 to 6 Tbsps
Salt for taste (approximate 1 to 1 1/2 tsps)

Method

  1. Make a paste of Coconut and Green Pepper and keep a side.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, Bay leaves fry them till brown.
  3. Then add the onions and fry them till brown salt & turmeric powder.
  4. Fry them till golden brown.
  5. Add chicken and fry them for 5 minutes
  6. Let the chicken cook for few minutes.
  7. After the chicken is cooked.
  8. Add the coconut paste, yogurt & red chilly powder and let them cook 15 minutes.
  9. Garnish with cilantro.
